About the Hostel

Hostel provides a feeling of Home-Away-From-Home to the students. It provides a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the inmates. The hostel accommodation comprises of rooms which are well furnished, hygienic and have ultra modern amenities. The rooms are furnished with cots, shelves, reading table and chairs. The hostel premises has a common reading room and TV room and is Wi-Fi enabled. A modern central kitchen operates in the campus. Pure vegetarian food prepared under hygienic conditions and is served in the student dining halls. Dry cleaning services, the uninterrupted power supply, 24×7 medical care, RO plants, hot water supply, telephone facility, indoor games – all these vouch for the healthy and comfy stay of the residents. Security and surveillance are ensured by CCTV cameras and round the clock securities.

Rules

  • The Principal of the college is the warden of the hostel.
  • The hostel admission fees Rs.100 will be paid every year.
  • The hostel mess fees is collected in three term interval.
  • All the hostel students must present on the re-opening date after the terminal and other holidays. If they are absent without proper leave letter, they will be fined.
  • Ragging in any form whatsoever is strictly BANNED & VIOLATION will invite action as per law of the land.
  • Hostel inmates must present promptly at the appointed hours for meals and the dining hall should be kept clean. No food stuff should be left there after finishing their meals.
  • The hostel meetings will be held once a month presided over by the warden, emergency meetings however, will be convened at any time.
  • Any physical indisposition should be reported to the warden immediately. In case of illness the students will be served their diet in the room.
  • Any nondisclosure of past medical history is at the risk of the student.
  • During study hours strict silence must be observed.
  • The student is personally responsible for safety of their all valuables.
  • Hostel students must keep their rooms and hostel premises clean. There will be surprise visits from both the warden and deputy warden.
  • Room lights need to be switched off at 10.30.P.M.
  • Only parents or local guardians will be allowed to see the boarders from 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m only. Visitors will have to bring the visitors card with him/her.
  • Once the student has joined the hostel, she cannot leave and come to the hostel without her parent or guardian. Going home is permitted only once during second Saturday and Sunday in a month. Students on any circumstances not allowed to go home during night time and permitted to go home only after 6.00 a.m.
  • Students shall bring with them their beddings, blankets, locks, stainless steel plates and tumblers with their full names inscribed.
  • Students are not to use any personal electrical appliance or mobile phones, transistor radio, camera within the hostel and college premises.
  • Any manner of festivities and noise making / celebrations which may cause disturbance to other inmates in the hostel premises will not be allowed.
  • Any act of uploading derogatory remarks against the institute or any staff / students will invite disciplinary action.
  • Hostellers are not permitted to stay in their relatives and friends house and attending the classes.
  • The name of the students will be removed from the rolls of the hostel on account of non –payment of fees or misconduct.
  • Any serious misconduct on the part of any member may entail suspension or dismissal from the hostel. Such cases and other matters relating to the hostel affairs should be brought to the Principal promptly.
  • The Principal has the right to refuse admission in the hostel to any students, who in her opinion is not considered suitable for admission on medical grounds or for reason of conduct.
  • Hostellers are permitted for Zoology and Botany Department study tours. All others should get parents permission.
  • Students are strictly restricted from interchanging or staying rooms with other inmates.
  • Study Hours 6.45 P.M – 7.45 P.M – I study and 8.45 P.M – 10.00 P.M – II study (Evening study).
  • Students dress code is saree, half saree, chudithar , pyjama & shawl.
