About the Department
The PG Department of Mathematics has initiated in 2003 with M.Sc., Mathematics and prolonged with B.Sc., Mathematics, M.Phil and Ph.D research Programmes. The Department rises as a full-fledged Department with research programmes to provide outstanding environment in learning Mathematics through practical ability. The Department enriched with 15 enthusiastic and devoted faculty members and 520 students.
The curriculum pursues the philosophy of carrying out education and research on Mathematics that serves as the foundation for various sciences, as well as development of science and society. This enables the graduate to excel in distinct fields of profession in an advanced society.
The Department nourish students confidence, communication, professional competence, modeling skills through seminars, conference, symposium, workshop, Math Expo, special meeting, Radio program etc.,
Our students are tabbed to haunt Mathematics Talent Search Training Programme (MTTS), NURTURE programme, Summer Research Training Programming across the Nation.
