About

With the aim of fostering a spirit of gratitude towards the alma mater, promoting the welfare of the learning community and strengthening the bond among the alumni, the Erode Vellalar Mahalir Kalluri Munnal Manaviyar Sangam engages in varied activities. It has been functioning as a registered body since 2011. The following objectives strengthen the activities of the Association:

  • To bolster the bond among the alumnae and involve them in collaborative engagements and to make their alma mater scale new heights
  • To shoulder responsibilities in proffering financial aid to the economically needy learners

Alumni Meetings
Executive Committee Meetings and Annual General Body Meetings

Alumni Association is functioning efficiently involving the alumni who shine in various walks of life. Every member plays a lead role in ensuring ethical integrity, professional growth of the learners and coordinating reunion activities. Periodical Executive Committee Meetings and General Body Meetings are conducted to discuss and execute welfare activities for the advancement of the student community and the Institution.

    2015-2016

  • Alumni association meeting was held on 25.09.2015 and around 253 participants participated in the meeting. The proposed activities were discussed and the participants expressed their happiness and memories of yester days.
  • 2016-2017

  • Alumni Association general body meeting was organized on 05.09.2016. Around 256 alumni participants celebrated Teachers Day.
  • 2017-2018

  • Around 250 participants cheerfully participated in the Alumni Association meeting on 20.9.2017.
  • 2018-2019

  • Erode Vellalar Mahalir Kalluri Munnal Manaviar Sangam met on 10.08.2018. About 243 Alumni actively participated in the meet and shared their memories. In the Alumni meet conducted on 28.04.2019, around 1250 enthusiastic alumni were gathered and the meeting turned to be a festive bonding between the alumni and the institution.
  • 2019-2020

  • Erode Vellalar Mahalir Kalluri Munnal Manaviar Sangam met on 10.08.2018. About 243 Alumni actively participated in the meet and shared their memories. In the Alumni meet conducted on 28.04.2019, around 1250 enthusiastic alumni were gathered and the meeting turned to be a festive bonding between the alumni and the institution.
  • On 06.08.2019, Department of Business Administration with CA signed a MoU with the Alumna Ms.Hamsaleela Natarajan,Business Development Manager MazCADD, Coimbatore.
  • On 08.08.2019, an Awareness programme on “Breast feeding is the best feeding” was organized with the Resource person Ms.R.K.Jayanthi (Alumna of our College), Child birth Instructor & Infant Educator, Smart Kids & Pregnancy Caring Centre, Erode.
  • Golden Jubilee Alumni Meet was organized on 24.08.2019. Nearly 1729 alumna were part of the grand celebration.
  • On 22.09.2019, the chapter wise Alumni meet was arranged and 1642 alumni actively participated in the meet.
  • A lecture workshop entitled “Personal Hygiene for Adult Females” was jointly organized with YRC on 27.02.2020.
  • Dr. A. Senthamil Selvi,M.B.,B.S., M.S., (Anatomy), Retired Professor of Anatomy, Omandurar Government Medical College, Chennai (PUC Alumna) acted as the Resource person and 100 participants were benefitted by the programme. On 01.03.2020, the Department wise Alumni Meet was arranged and around 1800 alumni participated in the meet.
  • Alumni Association organized a Community Development Programme on 27.04.2020 through online. An Alumna, Mrs. Dharini Manish Selarka, Soft Skills National Trainer, Nagpur, addressed on the topic “We Must Have a Pie” and spoke elaborately on stress management. Nearly 85 participants and their family members got benefitted.
  • On 28.04.2020, an alumna Dr.V.Dhanalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, Government Arts College for Women, Krishnagiri addressed on the topic “Recent Trends in Language Technology” through online mode. About 164 participants gained knowledge on machine learning and artificial intelligence to process the natural language tools.
  • 2020-2021

    Alumni Association conducted chapter wise meetings through online mode due to the pandemic situation. To strengthen the connectedness, bonding between the alumni to the Institution and also to the young students, the meetings were organized majorly with our alumnae as chief guests.

  • PG & Research Department of English conducted an Alumni Meet on 24.04.2021 with Ms. E.Priyanga, a budding orator as the chief guest. She spoke on the topic “Unleash Your Power” to develop a strategy for increasing self –confidence, to achieve goals and to explore the positive impact of assertiveness in career and personal life. Nearly 40 alumnae attended the meet.
  • PG and Research Department of History conducted a meet on 25.2.2021. Dr. S.F. Naseem Jan, Associate Professor, Department of History, L.R.G Government Arts College for Women, Tiruppur addressed the participants.
  • Department of Mathematics organized alumni meeting on 22.02.2021 with Ms.S.Madhumitha, a Ph.D., Research Scholar, NlT Trichy. She shared the techniques of consistent preparation to crack national level competitive examinations like IIT ­ JAM, NBHM, TI FR and Ms.M.Dhevadharshini shared the memories of her study and expressed her thankfulness to the Institution. 63 participants including alumni and final year students gathered in the meet.
  • Dr.N.Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor in Physics, Dr.N.G.P Arts and Science College, Coimbatore addressed the gathering on the topic “Research Career Opportunities” in the alumni meet conducted by the Department of Physics on 24.08.2021.
  • Mrs.P.Savitha, Business Process Lead, Tata Consultancy Service, Chennai interacted with the chemistry alumni on the topic ‘Opportunities of Chemistry graduates in Information Technology’ in the alumni meeting organized by the Department of Chemistry on 14.2.2021.
  • On 09.02.21, PG and Research Department of Botany organized an interactive session on “Civil service Examination strategies” with the guest Ms. V. Selvavinothini, UPSC aspirant, studying in Direction IAS, New Delhi.
  • In the alumni meet conducted by Department of Zoology on 27.2.2021, around 45 members of different batches reunited and cherished their experience.
  • Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized a meeting on 08.03.2021 with the resource person Ms.P.Uma Maheshwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, SDNB Vaishnav College for Women, Chrompet, Chennai and she made the students to be aware on the title “Nutritional Concerns of Women with Special Reference to Teen Years”.
  • On 6.3.2021, Ms. Elamathy Nargunan, Assistant Consultant, Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai created awareness through her speech on “Empowerment of Women through Participation in Society Building” in the meeting organized by the Department of Computer science and around 39 students actively participated in the meeting.
  • In the virtual Alumni meeting organized by the department of Commerce on 19.03.2021, Dr.G.Shanthi, Assistant Professor of Commerce, Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College, Rasipuram interacted with around forty participants.
  • Department of Tamil organized an alumni meet on 22.03.2021 and Dr. Dineshwaran, Assistant Professor in Tamil, VET Institute of Arts and Science enlightened the alumni gathering of forty seven participants on the topic “Mazhilthiru Manamae”.
  • PG Department of Mathematics arranged an alumni meeting with the chief guest Ms. L.Kavipriya, Typist, Revenue and Disaster Management, Collectorate, Namakkal District and she motivated the students by her talk on “Secret of Success” on 16.3.2021.
  • Department of Mathematics CA organized an Alumni meet on 16.03.2021. Ms. P.Janaki, Operation Executive, Infosys Bangalore addressed the crowd on the topic “Self Care”, Ms.R.Dharini, Operation Executive, Infosys, Bangalore delivered a lecture on the topic “If You Can’t, Then Who Can” and Ms.D.Amutha, Branch Post Master, Kondalam delivered the topic “Tips To Crack TNPSC Exam”. 85 alumnae were participated in the meet.
  • PG Department of Physics conducted the Alumni meet on 24.03.2021 and 36 alumni were enlightened by the ideas of Ms. K. Sangeetha, Wipro Technologies, Cochin on the topic “Be a Self Motivator to Break the Barriers”.
  • Department of Biochemistry organized an Alumni meet on 21.03.2021 and Ms.K.L.Dharani, Deputy State Tax Officer, Erode Division (Intelligence Wing), Tamilnadu Government Commercial Taxes Department gave an inspiring speech on the title “My Success Story – Tips to crack Competitive exams” and about 90 students got benefited.
  • Department of Foods and Nutrition organized an alumni meet on 21.03.2021. Through her speech on the topic “Career opportunities as Dietitian”, Ms.J.Devi Nandhini, Clinical Nutritionist in Fitterfly, Mumbai, Guest lecturer in Palanisamy College of Arts, Perundurai, Part time Nutritionist at Grainy Foods, Salem and Consultant Nutritionist and Counsellor at Nani's Diet Clinic, Karur guided and motivated the alumni as well as young students to use the opportunities as dietitian for career exploration.
  • Department of Computer Science (UG &PG) conducted a Placement Training programme for the UG students on 13.2.2021 with Ms.K.Kavyasri [Alumni], Senior Operation Executive, Infosys Ltd, Bangalore as the resource person.
  • Ms. J.Kanya, Developer, Wipro Technologies, Chennai addressed around 100 BCA and MCA students on the topic “WIPRO – AN INTRO” in the meeting organized by the Department of Computer Applications and she provoked the young minds to face the challenges that may emerge in their career path.
  • Department of Computer Technology [IT & CT] conducted an alumni meet on 25.4.2021. Ms. R. Rahavi and Ms. B.Monisha, Test Engineers, Infosys, Trivandrum, addressed around 100 alumni gathering on the topic “Challenges for women in IT sector”.
  • Ms. Gowshika, Ammu Art Gallery, Erode encouraged the students through her talk on “Entrepreneurship” in the meeting organized by the Department of Costume Design & Fashion on 10.03.2021.
  • The department of Commerce organized an alumni meet on 23.03.2021 and Mr.B.Nanthakumar, Journalist and Reporter Daily Thanthi, Chennai was the resource person. He delivered a speech on the topic “Happiness is the key to success” and motivated 98 alumni participants about the way to keep them happy throughout their life.
  • PG Department of Commerce with Computer Applications organized an alumni meet on 13.02.2021. The alumni participants gave valuable feedback and suggestions for the betterment of Institution and Alumni association.
  • PG & Research Department of Corporate Secretaryship conducted the alumni meet on 23.03.2021 with the guest Ms. T. Sowmithra, Articled Assistant who addressed the audience on the topic “A Measure of Success – Way to Crack CA Exams”.
  • In the alumni meet arranged by Department of Cooperation on 22.3.2021, Ms.C.Amutha Bharathi, Indoor Supervisor, South Primary Agricultural and Rural Development Bank Ltd., Pollachi made the audience aware of the competitive examinations in Cooperative and other sectors by her talk on “My way of success”.
  • Ms.M.Gayathri, Articles Clerk and Pursuing Chartered Accountant, Elangovan & Company, Erode shared her views among the 75 alumni through her talk on “Strive for Excellence” in the alumni meet organized by the department of E-Commerce on 20.2.2021.
  • Department of Business Administration with CA organized the alumni meet on 21.3.2021. Ms. Anjali Khanwani, Proprietress, Sweet Retreat, Erode, shared her views with the 61 alumni participants on the topic “Entrepreneurial Ideas and Business Start – ups”.
  • In the alumni meet organized by the Department of Library and Information Science on 25.3.2021, Ms.V. Krishnapriya, Librarian, Jayanthi Public Senior Secondary School, Tiruppur and P.Agalya, Librarian cum Statistician, Government Headquarters Hospital, Erode detailed the power of information and knowledge to succeed through their talk on “Choose to Succeed”.
  • 2021-2022

  • In order to spread the awareness about women’s rights among adolescent girls and to sensitize them, an awareness programme was organized on 25.03.2022 FN. The Chief Guest Dr.S.P. Poongodi (1990-93 Batch Zoology Alumna), Advocate, High court of Madras addressed the students on the topic “Legal Rights of Women” and interacted with the audience. 200 students from the department of English, History, Nutrition and Dietetics and Zoology were benefitted by this awareness programme.
  • On 25.03.2022 AN, a Motivational Programme on “Social Media Advertising- A Boon for Marketers” was conducted with the chief guest Dr.D.Parimala Devi, (1995-1998 B.Com alumna), Proprietress, Lakshmi Priya Agency and Transports, Thalavaipettai. She highlighted the applications of social media in the field of marketing and guided the students for future career. In the Question answer session, students were clarified the doubts on social media advertising. 152 students from final B.Com, E-Commerce, B.Com (PA) and M.Com were benefitted through this programme.
  • To impart basic knowledge and skills in animation technique, Alumni association and Department of Zoology jointly organized a training programme on ‘Adobe Photoshop and 2D Animation’ to the students of Zoology on 28.03.2022. Ms.P.Geethalakshmi, the alumna of Zoology (2016 -2019 Batch), acted as the resource person and gave hands on exposure to 2D Animation technique to the students. The training has developed an efficient workflow in Photoshop and 2D animation to prepare content for effective and understandable communications.
  • A motivational programme entitled “Creating Records through Creativity” was organized on 30.03.2022 AN. Ms.K.Santhiya, an alumna of B.Sc., Chemistry (2015-2018 batch), record holder of India book of records and Asia book of Records severed as resource person. She motivated the students with encouraging examples from her own experience and inspired the students to be a record creator. She pointed out few tips of creative ideas in Physical science, Chemical Science and Biological science. 120 students of final year Chemistry, Physics and Botany attended this programme.
  • In connection with the 4th cycle of NAAC visit, the Alumni eagerly gathered and interacted with the NAAC peer team members on 19.05.2022.
  • Department wise Alumni meetings are conducted to strengthen the bonding between the alumni with the Institution. In the online alumni meet on 09.04.2022, Ms. G.Kowshika, (2017-2020 batch English Alumna), Budding Orator addressed the 52 alumnae of English Literature on the theme ‘Power of positive thinking’.
  • On 06.04.2022, Ms.S.Priyadharsini, (History Alumna), Assistant Professor, Department of History, Vivekananda College of Arts & Sciences for Women, Tiruchengode discussed about women education, empowerment, NET/SET, UPSC & other competitive examinations among 40 Alumni and 50 students of III B.A History.
  • On 19.03.2022, 33 alumnae and 150 students of Mathematics chapter met and interacted. Ms. M. Dheva Dharshni (2017 – 2020 Batch Alumna) Online Tutor, Byju’s and Ms. M. Santhiya (2017 – 2020 Batch Alumna), Competitive Examinations Aspirant actively shared their ideas about the Career opportunities.
  • On 15.03.2022, Ms.Swathiga, (2014-2017 batch Physics Alumna) interacted with 35 students of I B.Sc., Physics about the higher studies and career opportunities in Physics.
  • On 19.03.2022, 45 Chemistry alumni of various batches eagerly participated and cherished their yester memories. Dr. M.Sarojadevi, (Alumna of Ist Batch of B.Sc Chemistry), Professor of Chemistry, CEG, Anna University, Chennai, Dr.A.Geetha, (1997-2000 Batch Chemistry Alumna) Associate Professor and Head, Chemistry, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Dr.C.Brundha, (2008-2011 Chemistry Alumna) Post-doctoral Fellow (Research), Pusan National University, South Korea discussed about the research opportunities for chemists.
  • On 19.03.2022, a hybrid mode of alumni interaction was organized and Ms. R.Vaishnavi, (2017-2020 Batch Botany Alumna) GDS DAK SEVAK, T.N.Palayam Sub post office, Erode Division interacted with 58 students about Indian Postal Service and various links of government service.
  • On 01.04.2022, through online, 22 Zoology alumni interacted with 35 students and discussed the right career paths.
  • On 11.04.2022, 15 alumni and 99 students of Nutrition & Dietetics participated in the interaction on Career Perspectives in Nutrition and Dietetics with Dr. K. Anusuya Devi, (1995-1998 Batch Alumna), Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.
  • In the online Alumni meet on 29.04.2022, Dr.K.Akilandeswari, (1987-1990 Alumna) Associate Professor in Computer Science and Deputy Controller of Examinations, Government Arts College, Salem -7 shared her views on Empowerment of women through participation in society building among the 39 Computer Science alumni participants.
  • In the online alumni meet, Dr.C.Dhanalaskhmi, (Commerce Alumna) Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, P.Baladevi, (Commerce Alumna) Practicing Chartered Accountant, Sakthi Associates, Tiruppur and Dr.NithyaRamachandran, (Commerce Alumna), Professor and QA Head, Department of Business Studies, IBRA College of Technology, Sultanate of Oman addressed the15 PG students and 40 alumni on 19.03.2022 with the topic ‘My Credentials from and Contributions to our Institution’.
  • On 23.04.2022, Ms.V.Kalaivani (Tamil alumna) and Ms. V.Gandhimathi (Tamil alumna) Budding Orators interacted with the 62 Tamil alumni on the topic தையலை உயர்வு செய்.
  • Alumna Ms. S. Gowri Shankari (NET) interacted with 65 English alumni on the theme ‘Learn, unlearn & Relearn: A Success mantra to crack NET’ in the online alumni meet on 12.04.2022.
  • 177 Mathematics alumni eagerly participated in the online alumni meeting organized on 18.04.2022.
  • Mrs.Vinitha B.R, (2009-2012 Batch Mathematics CA Alumna), Senior Professional Product Gainwall Technologies, Chennai shared her ideas on ‘Self Actualization’ and Ms.P.Trisha, (2018-2021 Batch Alumna), Associate Engineer, HCL Technologies, Chennai interacted with the 25 alumni and 55 students in the online alumni meet on 16.04.2022.
  • Ms. A. Suvetha, (2014-2017 Batch Physics Alumna), Radiation Safety Officer (RSO-III), Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT), Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore discussed the Radiation Protection and Safety with 40 students of UG and 21 students of PG from the Department of Physics on 03.05.2022.
  • 52 Biochemistry alumni and 78 students benefitted through the online meeting with Mr.M.Sarankumar, M.Sc., DMLT., Quality Control Executive, Bal Pharma Ltd., Bengaluru as resource person who discussed the scope, career opportunities for Biochemistry in Industries on 16.04.2022.
  • 24 students participated in the interaction on the topic ‘Live what you love’ with Mrs. G. Priya M.Sc., M.Phil. (NET), (1998-2003 Foods and Nutrition alumna), Chairperson of Young India (Yi), Erode chapter on 25.04.2022.
  • Ms.S. Subiksha (2017-2020 Batch Computer Science alumna), Operations Executive, Infosys Ltd and Ms.K. Kavyasri (2014-2017 Batch Computer Science Alumna), System Engineer, Royal Bank of Scotland interacted with 119 students from final year Computer Science in the Placement Training Programme: Placement Challenges and Preparations on 08.04.2022.
  • In the hybrid mode alumni meeting on 20.04.2022, Ms. T. Hamsavarshini, (2016-2018 Batch Computer Applications alumna), Online Tutor, Focus Edumatics, Coimbatore detailed the Online job opportunities to 43MCA students and 11 alumni participants.
  • In the online alumni interaction on 13.04.2022, 10 alumni, 56 final year IT students participated with Ms.S.Pooja, (2017-2020 Batch Alumna), Programmer, Cognizant Technologies, Coimbatore and Ms.S.Mayurie, (2017-2020 Batch Alumna), Cloud Analyst, Infosys, Hyderabad who shared their ideas about the Opportunities and challenges in IT sector.
  • In the alumni interaction on 28.04.2022, Ms.D.Shoba, (2016-2019 Costume Design & Fashion Alumna), Entrepreneur & Designer, Founder of Keerthi Collection, Salem interacted with 41 students on the theme ‘My Story- Successful Startup-Jewellary Designer’.
  • Dr.V.Santhi, (Commerce alumna), Associate Professor and Head In charge, Department of Humanities, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore interacted with 64 alumni with the theme ‘Thinking outside the box: Steps towards Women Entrepreneurship’ on 28.03.2022. <./li>
  • On 27.04.2022, Ms. C.Yamuna, (UG-2016-19 & PG-2019-21 Batch Computer Applications Alumna), Assistant Professor, PG and Research Department of Commerce (CA), Kongu Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode addressed the 98 alumni on the topic ‘Know Yourself’.
  • 70 students got benefitted through the online interaction that create awareness about CA, ACS and ICWA exams with Ms. S.Sonal Bhootra, Company Secretary (2009-2012 Batch Corporate Secretaryship alumna) on 15.03.2022.
  • 76 alumni got benefitted by the online alumni meet on 20.04.2022 in which Ms.R.Dhanushya, (2017-2020 Batch Cooperation Alumna), Computer Operator – E-Services, Moyyandampalayam shared the Job Avenues in Cooperatives.
  • Ms.S.Ishwaryaa,(2018-2021 Batch E.Commerce Alumna), Billing provider, AGS Health Care, Tidal Park, Chennai addressed the 44 Alumni participants on the topic ‘Personality Development’ on 02.04.2022 through online.
  • On 04.04.2022, Ms.V.Harini (Commerce (PA) Alumna), Bi EDG Trainee, TCS, DLF IT Park, Porur, Chennai motivated the 29 alumni and 55 Commerce (PA) student participants on the topic ‘Believe in yourself’.
  • In the online alumni meeting on 01.04.2022, Mrs. T.Oviya, (2016-2019 batch Business Administration alumna), Proprietress, Kalyana Vaibhogam, Erode delivered the secret to success to 40 alumni participants.
  • On 27.04.2022. Ms. G. Nithya, (2012-2014 Batch Library and Information Science alumna), Librarian, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology shared her views on Challenges in Librarianship with 25 alumni.
  • 2022-2023

  • Alumni meet was conducted department wise on 11.07.2022 and about 1645 alumni actively participated and cherished their memories.
  • On 13.07.2022, Alumni meet was conducted and 1645 alumni eagerly participated in the meet at their respective departments
  • In connection with the World Breastfeeding week, an awareness programme of Human Chain was jointly organized with Youth Red Cross Society, JCI Erode Green City and Smart Kids Pregnancy Caring Centre at Telephone Bhavan, Erode. About 150 members from YRC and Alumni of our College actively participated in the programme on 05.08.2022.
  • An entrepreneurial skill development programme on “Small Scale Business” was conducted with Ms. S. Prema (2001-2004 Batch Alumna), Yatra Traders, Kanjikovil as a resource person to promote the women entrepreneurship on 7.10.2022. 124 students got benefitted through this programme.
  • On 11.10.2022, a A special meeting on “De-stressing to a Healthy Lifestyle” was conducted with Ms. G.Abirami (2004-2007 Batch Alumna), Partner, Gowtham Entreprises, Coimbatore as a resource person who discussed the importance of stress free life style and the stress relief plans. 123 students from various departments got benefitted.
  • On 26.12.2022, a Special meeting on “Drug Development Life Cycle” was conducted with the guest speaker Ms. R.L. Saarusri B.Tech., Trainee Decision Scientist, Mu Sigma, Bangalore who is the daughter of our Alumni. Nearly 191 participants got benefitted through the programme.
  • 2023-2024

  • On 27.07.2023, Alumni association and B.Voc. Fashion and Boutique Management jointly organized a Skill Development Programme on “Trends and Opportunities in Fashion Industry” with the resource person Ms. Pavithra Selvam, Product Development Manager, Tailor and Circus Clothing Private LTD, Tirupur. 85 students got benefitted.
  • On 02.08.2023, organized a Social Awareness Programme entitled “Feeding the Future: Advocating Breastfeeding Awareness” in Collaboration with Smartkids Pregnancy Caring Centre & IWN-Indian Women Network with the resource person Ms. Jayanthi Ramesh Kumar, Founder & Pregnancy Coach, Smartkids Pregnancy Caring Centre, Erode. 220 Participants got benefitted.
  • On 29.09.2023, organized a Skill Development programme entitled “Promising Future” with Ms. E. Priyanka, Typist, High court, Chennai and 142 students got benefitted.
  • On 08.12.2023, organized an Entrepreneurial Skill Development Programme on "Find Strength in Yourself", with the resource person Ms. V. Yamuna Devi, B.Sc., Director, GVK Constructions India Pvt Ltd, Erode and 164 students participated.
  • Organized a Social awareness programme entitled "Energy Conservation" on 08.12.2023. Technical persons from Yamuna Gas Agencies, Erode practically demonstrate the techniques of energy conservation and fire safety measures. Through these efforts, our organization aims to lead in responsible gas conservation practices, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient energy sector. 189 participants benefitted through this programme and they will spread the awareness to their family members and friends.
  • Organized a one-day workshop on "Herbal Cosmetics – A safe and effective approach" on 08.01.2024. S. Anudeepa M.Com., Ms. K.Dharani, B.Sc. CDF., from The Eila Naturals, Avalpoondurai addressed the 202 participants.
  • Organized a One day seminar on ‘Skills and Strategies for Career Development’ on 01.02.2024. Mrs.S.Renugapriya M.Com (CA) Head Cashier II, Punjab National Bank, Erode addressed on the topic ‘Career Opportunities in Banking’. Ms.Priyashree B.Com(CS), CS(professional),ACCA(skill) Founder, SRI VARA CS coaching, Tiruppur addressed on ‘Career as Company Secretary’. Mrs. Kavitha Priya, Managing Director, Tamilan Parotta, Merina Mall, Chennai addressed on “Women Entrepreneurship” through virtual mode. 391 students attended the seminar and got benefitted.
  • Chapter wise Alumni meets were conducted on 18.08.2023, 27.09.2023, 29.09.2023, 03.10.2023, 04.10.2023, 06.10.2023, 21.10.2023 and 28.10.2023. As a whole around 2160 alumni participated in the chapter wise alumni meets.

  • On 09.02.2024, Alumni Association contributed Rs.2,00,000 to Vellalar Educational Trust towards the renovation and up gradation of Botany Laboratory and also contributed Rs.10,00,000 towards the construction of Seminar Hall in the college premises.
  • Fund for the development of infrastructure and purchase of library books
  • Provided term fees, EVERONN fees and exam fees for economically underprivileged students
  • Donated a sum of Rs. 20,000/- towards the NACC sponsored IQAC National Seminar
  • Sponsored Rs.56,000 and Rs.35,000 towards semester fees and exam fees for the deserving and poor students
  • Granted a LCD projector worth Rs. 1,00,000
  • Installed an incinerator worth Rs. 65,000 on the college premises
  • Contributed a smart classroom worth Rs. 1,50,000 to the unaided section of the institution
  • Bequeathed a sum of Rs. 1,50,000 for strengthening the infrastructure of the college
  • Given Rs.2,50,000 towards laying tiles for the Non Residential Hall and setting up of five Solar lamp posts
  • Offered a sum of Rs.2,00,000 towards the installation of printing press on the college premises
  • Rs. 4,00,000/- is contributed by the Alumni Association on 28.4.2019, for the effective functioning of the Self-employment Training and Start-up Centre, a recent initiative taken by Vellalar College for Women with a focus to mould the women into entrepreneurs.
  • On 24.08.2019, the Alumni Association contributed a cheque of Two Lakh rupees towards the Self Employment Technopark and Start-up Centre. A cheque for Rs. 1 lakh to create an endowment by Dr.Chandrika, alumna of Botany Department (1978-1981 batch), Water Analyst (Retd.) TWAD Board, Chennai, was given to the Secretary. In connection with golden jubilee year Dr. Shanthi Chidambaram, Consultant obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, UK (alumna of PUC 1978-1979 batch) and Dr.V.Santhi , alumna of Commerce department donated Rs.10,000 each and Ms.Suseela Venkatasalam (PUC alumna) contributed Rs. 5000 and Ms.Vidya alumna of English department donated Rs. 1,000 to the Alumni Association.
